If tenants ever have questions about what to do or how to operate something than they are clearly not reading the exceptionally thorough e-mails and very detailed information cards throughout the cabin. Just when you thought you were stumped on how to operate something or where to find an item, you find detailed information right before your eyes. And I thought I was OCD! You are the most organized landlord I know and we are grateful. Please make it snow next time! We received what I believe to be an incredible value and we look forward to returning.

I also enjoyed the stereo system and the outdoor speakers. The kitchen was well stocked. We loved and used all the unexpected gadgets and cooking options. We stayed in for breakfast and dinner each day. Thank you for allowing this needed getaway for us. Our dogs Lola and Waylon certainly appreciated their welcome too. Can't wait to come back!

Kim M of North Carolina October 16-18, 2011	Your cabin is perfect! We had a great time. It was the perfect getaway for our family. Our 4 yr old went on and on about how pretty it was. The fire pit, hot tub & hammock were an adventure for her every day. The scenery was excellent...prime leaf peeping season. We saw deer & the motion light even picked up a little critter one night though we weren't sure what was passing through. We even saw the President of the US passing along the Blue Ridge Parkway in his motorcade! Thanks for having us!.

Stan & Sherry D. of N. Carolina October 12-14, 2011	We stayed here several times and we love the location where it is at. This is so private and a quiet place to stay to get away from it all. You have everything you need to make your trip comfortable. We just needed that time away from work,not having to hear the phone ring off the wall,waiting on customers all day,hearing cars go by. It was raining off and on this time and we layed around and watched dvds alot and rested up. The owners are Super Great people to deal with. They really care about how was your stay and if you needed anything. We love coming here and our shih tzu dogs do to,it's like home away from home. We tell others all the time about how great Wil-deer-ness Cabin is and how they should stay there if they are going to the mountains. We can't wait to go back again and again.

Leigh K. of N. Carolina October 3-9, 2011	I loved the privacy! Only twice did we even hear a car drive by! West Jefferson is our new favorite moutain area. The town has such a sweet, family-friendly downtown area - great restaurants, great parks, and welcoming people! Due to the perfect location, we were able to hike Mt. Jefferson, visit Tweetsie Railroad, bike the Virginia Creeper trail, and hike along the New River. While at the cabin, we enjoyed rocking on the front porch or lounging in the hammock while the kids played nearby. The area around the firepit was great for flying model airplanes! We will definitely visit West Jefferson and the Wil-deer-ness cabin again!

David W. of N. Carolina Sept 30 - Oct 3, 2011	We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! Your cabin is lovely! What a relaxing and rejuvenating weekend we had. Despite the temperature being about 20 degrees colder than we originally planned for, we were able to do some shopping in West Jefferson and hiking at New River State Park.

We cant wait until our next stay. This was our first time here. We had an excellent time! We will come back in the future! The wildeerness cabin is very nice & we really enjoyed our stay! We really enjoyed the shopping. Thank you for renting the cabin to us! We will make plans to come back...maybe next time even bring some family with us!

Stan & Sherry D. of N. Carolina August 26-28, 2011	This was our 3rd trip there to wil-deer-ness cabin it is a very peaceful place to stay. We highly Recommend to all. They keep it very clean and if you want to prepare a meal in the kitchen they have everything you need.It is nice later own getting in the hot tub and gazing at the stars,listening to the music,or watch a dvd movie.It is close to town if you need to pick up some groceries or go out to eat. We found this time the best steak house around called JJ Chophouse,most tender steaks I have eaten yet!Thank You Michael & Donetta for the gift and renting your cabin to us.We will definitely be back again and highly recommend to everyone!!!

The whole weekend was amazing. Great time with our boys and they really enjoyed it for teenagers to enjoy the remote wilderness it had to be great. Jon M. of North Carolina Aug 16-19, 2011	The boys absolutely loved the cabin! They didn't want to leave! We spent one night at the fire pit just staring up at the stars and watched satellites go by. We even saw a shooting star. We ate enough S'mores to last a lifetime! Loved the cabin - hot tub was great. Went fishing at Grandfather Trout Farm and landed 5 lbs of dinner! Kids declared it the "best vacation EVER"! We were AMAZED at how well the cabin was stocked; it was far better than any timeshare resort or hotel I've ever been to, and I've been doing this for over 20 years!

Laura E. of Virginia July 15-19, 2011	We had a wonderful time. It did rain all day Saturday but it was a light rain so we still were able to get outside a little. Actually, my son found your blackberry patch out near the horseshoe pits and so we picked some berries there and then hiked down the road and picked probably about 1/2 a pint. The ones at the bottom of your driveway were really coming on, I guess because they get more sunlight. He loved picking those berries. I made blackberry pancakes and sprinkled them on some other raw fruit for meal times. He loved the pancakes. We were so impressed at all that you provide and how well equipped everything was and all of the information you provide in the welcome book. This was our family's 2nd time at the cabin and it will definitely not be our last! We really enjoyed canoeing at Zaloo's and just hanging around the cabin. Both the hammock and the hot tub were very nice and relaxing! Thanks so much for letting us use the cabin.

It was so beautiful and certainly a blessing for us to be able to enjoy! Kayaked in the new river, explored the area and had fun at the Christmas in July festival. Wonderful get-a-way!

Kathy & Audey C. of N. Carolina June 18-25, 2011	We absouletly loved your cabin. We always go to a cabin in June to celebrate our anniversay. This cabin offers the most in privacy and comforts that we have found. We loved the hot tub so much that now we have to purchase one for our home! Your still close to many attractions. Also very little traffic on the dirt road which adds to the privacy and peaceful surroundings. The 360 degree privacy is what we looked for the most as this is our romantic getaway for the year. The previous 5 years we've rented the same cabin but someone built another one very close, so now your cabin has allowed our tradition to continue. Thank you so much for sharing!

Joanna I. and Ashley B. of N. Carolina June 11-13, 2011	What an amazing stay! We loved the beautiful & quiet cabin, the relaxing surroundings and charm of the whole place. We canoed on the new river, hiked to the top of Three Top Mountain (a very hard but rewarding hike full of breathtaking views, wildlife & rare plants) enjoyed incredible country drives & down home cooking at Shatley Springs. Equally enticing was staying in and laughing to The Great Outdoors DVD, soaking in the hot tub, and homemade Mexican w/cold beers on the beautiful porch. Loved that you have wireless so that area attractions/reservations can be found. Truly a homey place & will recommend to all! Ashley What an absolute treat this has been – me & my best friend Ashley really enjoyed our time here – the night before staying at the cabin was spent “roughing it” by tent camping on the new river – boy – was it wonderful to come here afterwards – knock the dust off w/a good warm shower & settle in to all of the comforts the cabin has to offer. A wonderful dinner on the front porch – a long soak afterwards in the hot tub – it felt wonderful. Sunday we hiked up Three Top Mountain – what an awesome view – 360 degrees of the whole area – beautiful! I guess it isn’t a wonder we enjoyed the hot tub after that hike – what a treat! Later Sunday night we headed to Shatley springs for some real home cookin’ – I highly recommend it…and I also highly recommend if you go that you wear pants w/elastic so your pants will give as your stomach gets bigger. Oh well – wonderful place. I really enjoyed coming to Ashe County – it is good to see all parts of our state. Thank you so much for this wonderful retreat ya’ll. Joanna

However, we were treated to a raucous thunderstorm to fall asleep to on our second night. We did try the hot tub and that was terrific. I took plenty of pictures to show others! Our favorite part of the trip was exploring the area of West Jefferson and having the cozy cabin to come back to. The cabin was just what we wanted. It was very clean and exceptionally stocked with anything we could possibly need. It is a beautiful cabin! Thanks for making it available to others! Two of the main reasons we chose your cabin was the fact that we were able to bring our dog, Emily, and the wireless internet. Emily goes everywhere with us and she loved the cabin and yard! My husband really did not spend much time online, but felt more comfortable being able to keep up with work when he felt it was necessary. The cabin was also perfect for my parents who are in their late 80's. It was very accessible for them and they also enjoyed the trip very much. We will definitely keep your cabin in mind for future reference! You have a wonderful place. I hope you are able to enjoy it often also!

It was definitely the nicest one at any rental that I have visited but the hot tub alone did not make the trip. The fact that there were many entertainment options available allowed me to plan our trip with the intentions of not leaving the property until it was time to check out. What a great opportunity to have to reconnect with a loved one and get away from the busy world we live in.

Angie M. of Virginia March 25-27, 2011	I recently stayed at the Wilderness Cabin and had a wonderful time. My girlfriends and I were there on a women's getaway. The cabin was clean and had all the amenities we needed. We enjoyed the scenic view from the front porch. Took a short hike up the backyard. We made a small fire and enjoyed the smores. There was a selection of DVD's to choose from, however, we fore went the videos to do some female bonding. We did some unwinding and relaxed in the wonderful hot tub!!! I was very impressed with all aspects of the cabin and have already planned next years trip here!!!!!

Lauren P. of North Carolina March 11-14, 2011	We had an awesome time! So much fun! The cabin was beautiful and so clean. The wil-deer-ness cabin was just far enough off the beaten path. It was beautiful and so relaxing. The hot tub was definitely a great activity that brought us all together. We used the fire pit almost every night to relax and enjoy the great outdoors and the beautiful starry night sky. We roasted marshmallows while dancing around the fire and listening to the music through the out door stereo system. It was a wonderful time and we came home with memories that we will never forget.
